Finalizing your Canadian VISA Application (Original Passport)

(OPTION 1): SUBMIT ORIGINAL PASSPORT IN PERSON

Print out the passport request letter you received from IRCC/CIC.   

SIGN IN TO YOUR GCKEY

CHECK YOUR STATUS AND MESSAGES and DOWNLOAD THIS UNDER ORIGINAL PASSPORT REQUEST:

 Make sure that the barcodes and application number are clear. You will bring this and your passport to the VFS Office/ Canada Visa Application Centre (CVAC)

At the CVAC Office, the guard will give you a number and 2 forms: a personal info form and a VAC Consent Form. While waiting for your number to be called, fill out the forms.

When your number is called submit all the requirements:

Passport, Request Letter from IRCC/CIC (the one above), Personal info form and VAC Consent Form

NOTE:

There will be a handling fee on top of the VISA Application Fee that was charged from your online application. In my experience, I paid a total of 645.00 Philippine Peso.

(OPTION 2): SUBMIT VIA MAIL

Complete and submit all the requirements:

Passport, Request Letter from IRCC/CIC (the one above), Personal info form and VAC Consent Form, Bank Draft or Managers cheque in Philippine Peso in exact amount, acquired from any Philippines local banks and was made payable to “VFS Services Phils. Pvt. Inc.. Check out the list of fees and service charges here.

Send the documents to the address provided.

In my experience, I opted for OPTION 1 and the ORIGINAL Passport with the VISA became ready for PICK UP 2 days after my Submission.

 (I submitted on Monday, and picked it up on Wednesday)

But usually, it takes 2 weeks or 14 working days to process your application. Some may even take up to months. It is best to keep up to date and check the status of your application with the Center.
